We know now that a table that we see before us is comprised of an infinite number of atoms and so on, but only after untold amounts have been spent on scientific research. However, the Buddha described such things more than two thousand five hundred years ago. That the Buddha was able to know this in an age where there were no instruments to directly perceive them shows us that his wisdom was of an extremely advanced, extraordinary nature.
